ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
Poverty is reality in both slums and arid-rural areas. This is due to lack of employment, resources and lack of income generating activities that would otherwise boost their living standards and condition. Poverty in slums and arid areas has been manifested in form of hunger and malnutrition, lack of basic education, lack of basic health services, social discrimination, low living standards among others.
Our organization is seeking to make improvement in the economic condition of the people through providing a sustainable solution that will help in jobs creation as well as capital generation.
In partnership with our donors, we seek to empower our beneficiaries economically through 1) TAILORING 2) VET 3) CAR WASH 4)Microfinance
AREAS OF TARGETS:
- Ensure women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making in political, economic and public life
- Substantially reduce the proportion of youth not in employment, education or training
- Achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including for young people and persons with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value
- Take immediate and effective measures to eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery and human trafficking and secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labour, including recruitment and use of child soldier
- Protect labour rights and promote safe and secure working environments for all workers, including migrant workers, in particular women migrants, and those in precarious employment
